Winter Tours  2025 

  • The Trans Himalayan regions of Leh, Kargil, Lahaul, and Spiti are landscapes that are one of their kind and cannot be found anywhere else in the country.
  • It comprises a high-altitude cold desert, high-altitude snow-capped peaks, and bare stretches of peaks of various colors shaped by the various forces of nature.
  • These Trans Himalayan regions are quite remote with extreme climatic conditions, high-altitude mountain ranges, and impenetrable mountain passes.
  • Despite this, the people of the region have adapted themselves to the conditions and happily live here.
  • This region also has several Buddhist monasteries (locally called gompas) because Buddhism is practiced mainly by the people of this region, who can visit.
  • These monasteries have serene surroundings and are situated in really pretty locations.
  • The best times to visit this area are from early June to the end of September. Traveling during the monsoons is also fine, as it does not rain much in this region.
  • You will also visit a 1000-year-old lang(temple). Key Monastery: A must-visit tourist place in Spiti Valley, the Key Gompa is encircled by picturesque mountains and soothing valleys. During this trip, you will visit ancient monasteries that are famous all over the world, such as Key Monastery and Tabo Monastery.

Brief Itinerary:

  • Day 01: 12 PM Depart from Mumbai to Delhi
  • Day 02: 11 AM Arrive in Delhi - 11 PM Depart for Shimla
  • Day 03: Reach Shimla, and transfer to Sangla. Overnight stay in Sangla.
  • Day 04: Holi Celebration, Chitkul Exploration, move to Tabo via Khab sangam, Nako Village, Stay at Tabo
  • Day 05: Tabo Exploration, move towards Dhanker & Lingti waterfall. Overnight stay in Kaza
  • Day 06: Exploration of Chicham Bridge, Kibber & Key Monastery. Overnight stay at Kaza
  • Day 07: Hikkim, Komic, and Langza Exploration. Overnight stay at Kaza.
  • Day 08: Move towards Kalpa & sightseeing at Gue Monastery. Overnight stay at Kalpa.
  • Day 09: Explore the suicide point & leave for Shimla and transfer to Delhi via Volvo.
  • Day 10: Arrive in Delhi by 08:00 - 09:00 AM. 4 PM Depart for Mumbai.
  • Day 11: Arrive in Mumbai

What is included in the tour

  • Train: 3AC Mumbai to Delhi & Return
  • Transportation: Volvo transfer from Delhi to Shimla & back. Entire sightseeing from tempo traveler. 
  • Accommodation on Triple Sharing/Double sharing Basis as per itinerary in guest house/homestays/camps for 6 nights\7 days. 
  • Meals: Breakfast and Dinner during the trip (Totel 12 meals) 
  • Driver allowance, Road tax, and Fuel Charges 
  • An Oxygen Cylinder 24x7 in the backup Vehicle in case of Emergency 
  • All Drives, Sightseeing, and excursions are as per the itinerary.
  • All Government fees and Taxes for Normal journeys within Spiti.  
  • Team Captain Throughout the trip.

What is NOT included in the tour

  • 5% GST.
  • Anything not mentioned in the inclusions.
  • Meals during Transportation and Lunch on the trip
  • Any cost Arising Due to Natural Calamities like landslides, Roadblocks, etc. 
  • Expenses of a personal nature.
  • Any personal expense like tip of the driver, Entry to monuments/monasteries, Camera/video charges, laundry, Telephone Bills, heater, etc.
  • We Do Not Provide any Type of Travel Insurance. 
  • Any kind of food & beverages that are not included in the package like Alcohol, mineral water, meals/refreshments lunch on the highway. 
  • The itinerary is subject to change and is flexible due to any circumstances which are not in our control. 
Itinerary
Day 01: Mumbai / Pune to Delhi 
  • Report at Bandra Terminals at 12:00 PM (Afternoon) 
  • Board the AC 3 Tier (3AGARIB RATH (Train no. 12216) from Mumbai's Bandra Terminus. 
  • The second boarding point is Borivali station at 12:21 PM for Western line people 
Day 02: Reach Delhi, Overnight journey to Shimla, and Transfer to Sangla 
  • Reach Delhi 11:00 AM
  • Self-explore Delhi till night (own cost) 
  • 10:00 PM Report at Kashmiri Gate Volvo Bus Stand.
  • Overnight Travel to Shimla 
Day 03: Reach Shimla, Transfer to Sangla/Chitkul
  • Reach Early morning and Transfer to Sangla
  • Visit Kinnaur Gate and get some cool photographs. 
  • Reach Sangla by Evening and check into your hotel, freshen up & relax.
  • Stay at Chitkul/Sangla
  • Meals: Dinner
Day 04: Chitkul Exploration - Khab Sangam - Tabo
  • Visit Chitkul, which is the last village of the Baspa Valley and the last village on the old Hindustan-Tibet trade route.
  • After Experiencing the Village Life of Chitkul Journey Starts toward Nako
  • This Road passes near the India-Tibet border & also Khab, which is the Sangam of Spiti & Sutlej River (Sutlej River originates from Mansarovar Lake in Tibet)
  • Arriving at Nako & Visiting Nako Lake & Village
  • Stay in a Homestay at Tabo
  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 05: Tabo - Dhankar - Kaza 
  • Travel to Tabo Village & visit 1000-year-old Tabo Monastery & 360' View of the Sky
  • Tabo has a plethora of wall paintings and mud statues, also.
  • Then, explore Dhankar Village & Gompa - Located on a cliff edge, and gives a panoramic view of the entire valley.
  • Evening travel to Kaza - the headquarters of the Spiti Valley
  • Night Stay in Homestay at Kaza
  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 06: Exploration of Chicham Bridge, Kibber & Key Monastery.  
  • Exploring the Main Attractions of Spiti Valley
  • Key - This is the largest Tibetan Buddhist Monastery of the Spiti Valley and a religious training center for lamas.
  • The Key is also known for its beautiful murals, thangkas, rare manuscripts, stucco images, and peculiar wind instruments
  • Kibber - This is known for scenic mountains, barren splendor, and monasteries.
  • Chicham Bridge is the Highest Suspension Bridge in Asia’s
  • Evening Prayer at Kaza Monastery
  • Night Stay at Kaza
  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 07: Hikkim, Komic, and Langza Exploration. 
  • Visit Komic Gompa at the world's highest (15,050 ft) motorable village.
  • Langza is famous for its huge Buddha Statue (14300 ft), facing the mountains overlooking the valley
  • Langzaa is known to be the fossil village of India.
  • Hikkim is famous for housing the world's highest (14,400 ft) post office.
  • Evening at Kaza Market
  • Night Stay at Kaza

Day 08: Kaza to Kalpa via Gue
  • This morning, pack your bags and leave for Kalpa. 
  • En route, we will cover Gue Monastery. Reach Kalpa and Check into your Hotel.
  • Take some Rest, Dinner, and an overnight stay. 
  • Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
Day 09: Kalpa to Shimla - Overnight Delhi Transfer  
  • Wake up early, have breakfast & explore Suicide Point & transfer to Shimla.
  • Reach Shimla and depart for Delhi via Volvo. 
  • Meals: Breakfast
Day 10: Arrival in Delhi 
  • Early morning arrives in Delhi by 6:00 AM with memories of a lifetime. 
  • 08:50 AM, Board the train to Mumbai
Day 11Mumbai / Pune / Surat  
  • 07:30 AM: Arrive in Mumbai.
  • Back home with amazing memories and experience with new travel mates and Team Trekhievers.

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

NO REFUND SHALL BE MADE WITH RESPECT TO THE INITIAL BOOKING AMOUNT FOR ANY CANCELLATIONS. HOWEVER, IF FULL PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE THEN,

  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the trip's start date, 50% of the trip cost will be refunded within 5-7 working days.
  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the trip's start date, 25% of the trip cost will be refunded within 5-7 working days.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the trip's start date, 100% of the trip cost will be charged as cancellation fees. No refund will be processed.
  • In the case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain activities may be canceled and in such cases, the operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible activity. However, no refund will be provided for the same.
  • No show, No Refund.
  • Event Tickets cannot be transferred to another date against cancellation.
  • Event Tickets can be transferred to another person against cancellation.
  • If we cancel the TRIP, only the TRIP AMOUNT will be refunded.

Trekhievers Policy:

  • A complete schedule of the trek will be given to the registered participants 12 Hours prior on WhatsApp.
  • Organizers have the right to modify or change the schedule in case of any unavoidable circumstance.
  • The tour is weather-based and depends on the weather conditions. There may be last-minute cancellations if weather conditions deteriorate.
