Nanemachi Waterfall Safety Rules
• Wear trekking or sports shoes with strong grip.
• Remain with the organised group throughout the route.
• Do not enter the deep pool below Nanemachi Waterfall.
• Swimming and diving are prohibited.
• Cross seasonal streams only after receiving trek-leader instructions.
• Do not stand on wet, exposed or unstable rocks for photographs.
• Do not cross safety boundaries or enter restricted sections.
• Do not take unapproved shortcuts through the forest.
• Carry 2–3 litres of drinking water.
• Carry personal medicines and disclose relevant medical conditions before booking.
• Wear full-length quick-dry trekking pants.
• Carry a raincoat or waterproof jacket instead of relying only on an umbrella.
• Keep your phone, wallet and valuables inside a waterproof pouch.
• Alcohol, smoking and illegal substances are prohibited during the trip.
• Do not litter or disturb local communities, plants or wildlife.
• The itinerary may be shortened, changed, postponed or cancelled when conditions are unsafe.
How To Reach Nanemachi Waterfall From Pune

- Road and ghat conditions can change during heavy rain. Confirm the route, parking location and current local access before leaving Pune.
- Avoid isolated ghat roads during extreme rainfall or official weather-alert conditions.
By Public Transport
- Take an available intercity bus from Pune towards Mahad.
- From Mahad, arrange local transport towards Gugulshi or the confirmed reporting point.
- Last-mile public transport may be limited, particularly early in the morning and late in the evening.
- Independent travellers should confirm both onward and return transport before beginning the journey.
